Older Americans Month - Age Out Loud

Each May, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) leads our nation’s celebration of Older Americans Month (OAM). ACL designed the 2017 OAM theme, Age Out Loud, to give aging a new voice—one that reflects what today’s older adults have to say.

On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, Heather Baker, Development and Communication Coordinator at Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging, interviewed four Green Mountain RSVP Volunteers in our Bennington office. These amazing volunteers are sisters and have a combined 88 years of service which include almost 10,000 hours. WOW! They shared with us how they Age Out Loud. They love to volunteer, keep busy, and help others.

Look for their interview soon on CAT-TV and GNAT! Thank you to Anna, Pauline, Vi and Ida for your commitment to our community, you are all an inspiration. Thank you Heather Baker for helping them tell their story.
