Bone Builders Training

A special THANK YOU to Patricia Facey, Master Trainer, Bone Builders Coordinator for RSVP and The Volunteer Center of Rutland and Addison Counties for traveling to Arlington yesterday to provide our Bennington County Bone Builders Leaders with the most up-to-date Bone Builders and osteoporosis information. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for also attending this training! Without you, the 11 classes that Bennington County has to offer would not be possible. We are forever thankful for your time and commitment to this program.

Getting Things Done with BRGNS - Many Hands Make Light Work!

Over 20 volunteers from Green Mountain RSVP (GMRSVP), the Cavendish Bone Builders class, Cavendish Baptist Church, and Board Members from Black River Good Neighbor Services (BRGNS) worked together yesterday to prepare BRGNS most extensive mailing ever. Following a light lunch, BRGNS Director Audrey Bridge and GMRSVP Volunteer Coordinator Corey Mitchell worked along with the group to get the 6000 letters stuffed, stamped and ready to go to the Post Office. Laughter and light conversation kept this productive group going. BRGNS is located in Ludlow, VT. They serve Ludlow and surrounding towns with their Food Shelf, Thrift Store, Financial Assistance, Disaster Relief and Holiday Basket Progr

Volunteer at Bennington Relay for Life! Saturday 6/23 at MAU

Hello Bennington Volunteers! Do you have a couple of hours to spare on Saturday? We got a request from the Relay for Life Director looking for additional volunteers. The event goes from noon until midnight and they will accept help during this time at any point! It will be taking place at MT ANTHONY UNION HIGH SCHOOL. Connecting Volunteers 55 and Older to Service Opportunities in Bennington, Windsor, & Windham Counties RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) is a Senior Corps Program, which links more than 270,000 Americans to service opportunities through the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). ​ CNCS is our federal grant funder, which provides most of the money for our program. The grants are for 3 years, and require matching funds. For ever $1 we receive in federal funding, we match $3. We get our matching funds from the State of Vermont, and many of the towns in Bennington, Windsor, and Windham Counties. We also get in-kind donations from many nonprofits and businesses that we partn
